Director, Government Relations

Clarke's career as a government relations specialist spans almost 14 years. A native of Calgary, Clarke's résumé boasts experience as a broadcast journalist in Western Canada, and later as a political staffer on Parliament Hill - experiences that have cultivated a sharp understanding of the political decision-making process and how it's influenced.

In 2002, Clarke was named Manager of Government Relations for Engineers Canada, the national association of the provincial and territorial engineering licensing bodies. While at Engineers Canada, Clarke developed and managed an ambitious pan-Canadian program connecting engineers and MPs at the grassroots level.

From 2006 until most recently, Clarke worked as a consultant lobbyist where he provided a diverse range of services - including strategic government relations and communications counsel, intelligence gathering, media training, and event planning for a variety of corporate and association based clients encompassing virtually every sector of the economy.

In addition to Clarke's professional experience, he holds a B.A. from the University of Calgary, a Diploma in Broadcasting from Mount Royal University in Calgary, and a Master's Degree in Public Policy and Public Administration from Montreal's Concordia University. He also volunteered for six years as a Director with the Government Relations Institute of Canada, where he was actively involved in showcasing the important role the government relations community plays in serving the publics' interest through shaping public policy.
