Members Giving Back
Johnson & Johnson Consumer Canada colleagues enjoyed a full day at Health Partners International Canada (HPIC) on April 19th. Established in 1990, HPIC has been instrumental in directing donated medical products to disaster and relief efforts in vulnerable communities outside of Canada and the USA. To date, more than $500 million worth of aid relief benefiting more than 20 million children and adults has been distributed.
The J&J Team’s day began with a quick refresher on the reach and impact of HPIC operations around the world, and the importance of corporate product donations matched with employee volunteerism and engagement. From there, the J&J Team rolled up their sleeves and got down to the business of unpacking and packing dozens of pallets of products destined for relief efforts in Malawi, Zambia and the Dominican Republic. Lasting take-aways from the day will be the knowledge that the team’s efforts will make a significant and positive impact on the lives of people in need in the three countries, as well as a strengthened sense of pride and passion for J&J and its products.
J&J is proud to have partnered with HPIC for more than 20 years. To learn more about HPIC and how your organization can get involved, please visit www.hpicanada.ca.
