Gerry leads a team that addresses issues related to improving public, government and stakeholder understanding of the role of self-care with consumer health products in Canada and maximizing that role for the benefit of all Canadians. He has coordinated a number of economic and social research projects for CHP Canada to support the association’s evidence-based approach to policy advocacy.
After graduating with a degree in Chemistry from Trent University in 1983, he began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with Beecham Laboratories. He originally joined CHP Canada (then known as the Proprietary Association of Canada) in 1985 as Manager of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs.
Gerry is a member of the Board of Directors for the Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre in Ottawa.
