Karen is a seasoned and highly knowledgeable professional, with more than a decade of senior management experience in both the federal government and private sector. Prior to joining CHP Canada, Karen held the position of Director of Canadian Regulatory Affairs for NJOY, the leading independent electronic cigarette manufacturer in the US.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Applied Science from Ryerson University in 1997, Karen began a nine-year career with Health Canada where she took on increasingly senior responsibilities in the areas of regulatory and legislative affairs and policy development. Karen led Health Canada’s Legislative Renewal Initiative and developed the policy foundation for new legislation in the areas of product safety and food and drugs.
Karen uses her public service insights and regulatory expertise to build strong working relationships with key decision makers and external stakeholders and develops win-win-win solutions for government, industry and consumers. This expertise will serve Karen well in her role with CHP Canada and we welcome her to lead our organization in the next phase of its longstanding history of collaboration.
