Kristin Willemsen has been with Consumer Health Products Canada since 2008 and is the Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs. She works on a variety of regulatory files as designated by the Regulatory and Natural Health Products committees. She oversees the Good Manufacturing Practices, sunscreens, personal care products, and anti-microbial regulatory files. Kristin is also the staff representative on various issue-specific task forces.
Kristin received her Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto at Mississauga in Molecular Biology where she studied the anabolic actions of androgens on myogenic stem cells. She recently concluded her graduate studies at the University of Ottawa in Microbiology and Immunology where she developed gene therapy viral vectors designed for the treatment of muscular dystrophy.
